Deborah Nyack, Harp Angel, is an internationally acclaimed Canadian harpist whose artistry has brought the beauty of the harp to audiences around the world. Based in Banff, Alberta, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains next to emerald lakes, & snowy peaks, Deborah has enjoyed a remarkable career spanning more than 25 years, performing over 250 engagements annually in concert halls, intimate venues, elegant hotels, festivals, and special events across Canada and internationally, 

Her performances have taken her from the Canadian Rockies to renowned stages including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C,   She has performed for royalty, heads of state, celebrities, and thousands of enthusiastic audiences worldwide. Equally at home in a concert hall, a mountaintop setting, or an elegant ballroom, Deborah is celebrated for her extraordinary versatility and her ability to make the harp speak to every audience.

An internationally recognized recording artist, Deborah has released five best-selling solo CDs, with her music heard regularly on radio and television. Her playing is distinguished by a remarkable combination of virtuosic technique, musical sensitivity, and imaginative arrangements. Her repertoire is extraordinarily broad—she truly can play almost anything on the harp.

Deborah’s distinguished career in Canada includes serving as Harp Faculty at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Resident Harpist at the Fairmont Banff Springs and Fairmont Château Lake Louise, and Director of the Banff International Harp Festival. Through these roles, she has contributed significantly to the musical and cultural life of the Canadian Rockies and to the advancement of the harp in Canada.

Her studies have taken her to the Eastman School of Music, the Royal Academy of Music in London, and the Banff Centre, where she studied with leading harpists including Eileen Malone, Osian Ellis, and other distinguished mentors. She holds a Bachelor of Music with highest honours, a Master of Music, and a Performer’s Diploma awarded for outstanding performance.
