Harp Players
pedal . lever . electric . Baroque

Canadian harp players have and continue to explore Canada, music and self through improvisation, composition, commissioning of Canadian composers, recording and performing. With a rich history of harpists and and music, explore Canada through the music of the following harp players.
Canadians love to talk about the weather. A lot. And the weather IS a lot up here! Winter snow… Spring rains… Summer heat (the humid kind)… and Autumn leaves. The four fulsome seasons makes Canada all that it is!
Winter is all about snow and wintering trees and fields covered in blankets of white… unless you live in Vancouver, in which case it’s shades of rain. Of course there is outdoor skiing, snowshoeing and skating and sitting by a fireplace with a hot chocolate from Timmies warming you from the -40C bitterness outside.
Spring is a magical blooming time across the country… although in Victoria roses can be blooming in February!!!! The floral scent in the air… wow. Lilacs and hyacinths, lilies of the valley.
Summer is all about heat and humidity and café-surfing and getting together with friends outside and hiking and lake swimming, cottaging and enjoying the outdoors… and hiding from the mosquitos.
Autumn. And then there is the Fall. When the colours of the leaves change into the most beautiful palette of reds and yellows and browns. There is nothing like being on a hiking trail and kicking the fallen leaves and the smell of earthen beauty. And… in the prairies there is the magic of harvesting… and the most incredible storms!!!
For the wondrous reason of the seasons, Canadian harp players are organised by the Season that most speaks to them personally or their music. For those who just couldn’t choose, they are listed under All Seasons. And that is understandable… it is difficult to choose from the wonders of all of our seasons!
